39 more people die of COVID-19 in Illinois

CHICAGO - Illinois health officials on Friday said another 39 people have died from COVID-19, raising the statewide death toll to 6,847.
There are also another 857 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total case count to 140,291, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The newly reported deaths in Cook County range in age from a man in his 20s to a man in his 90s, the health department said.
