CTA trains resuming normal service after switching problems

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Trains on the CTA’s Brown, Green, Orange, Purple and Pink lines are resuming normal service after switching problems caused major delays Thursday morning.
The issues were due to switching problems near Clark and Lake, along with heavy train congestion, according to the transit agency.
Several Brown and Purple Line trains were diverted to the Red Line subway, and Orange, Green and Pink Line trains were cut short on their routes.
As of 10:30 a.m., the CTA said most trains were resuming normal service, though there could be some residual delays.
The Red, Blue and Yellow lines all were operating normally during the delay, according to the transit agency.
