Barnesville Police want to speak with family members whose loved ones' final resting places might have been disturbed.

The department said it received a call from U.S. Xpress on July 27. The company wanted to report damage at the Oneal Cemetery two days earlier. It learned about the incident while reviewing dash cam video from one of its truck. The unit automatically activates when a truck leaves the road or hits an object.

"It looks narrow and it's overshadowed by some trees," CPL. Belinda Penamon told FOX 5 News. "He went up in there and it appears he tried to turn around, and when he pulled forward he would hit graves in the process."

Latonya Fambro's father and other family members are buried in the cemetery. She learned their gravesites are among the 22 that have extensive damage.

"When I got out here and I [saw] this, I was like, 'oh my God'," said Fambro. “It's just devastating for somebody to come through here and be able to do it and not report it if it was accidental, you know? I'm just not understanding that."

Police are trying to determine if the damage is the result of an accident. The driver, Devonte Carr, of North Carolina, was charged with more than 22 counts of striking a fixed objects and 14 counts of criminal damage to property.
