Homeland Security officer injured in South Side crash
CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - A Homeland Security officer was injured in a crash Thursday morning in the West Esldon neighborhood on the South Side.
An 18-year-old driver struck a Homeland Security vehicle about 6:15 a.m. in the 5700 block of South Hamlin Avenue, according Chicago police.
The federal officer was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition with shoulder pain, according to police and a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.
