ISS captures video of Aurora Borealis

The International Space Station got a close look at the Aurora Borealis last week.

The European Space Agency released this video of the Northern Lights.

The phenomenon occurs when electrically charged electrons and protons in the Earth's magnetic field collide with neutral atoms in the upper atmosphere.

The light show is mostly seen in the Arctic and Anatarctic regions.
