Loop restaurant robbery: 1 in custody after late-night hold-up
CHICAGO - A person was arrested after stealing from a restaurant in the Loop early Wednesday morning.
What we know:
Just after midnight, the suspect entered a restaurant with his hand inside a bag, implying he had a weapon in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue, police said.
A person inside the restaurant confronted the suspect and called police after fleeing the business.
The suspect then stole property from the restaurant and fled the scene. He was arrested by responding officers, police said.
No injuries were reported. Police said charges are pending.
Area Three detectives are leading the investigation.
What we don't know:
Police did not say whether the suspect was actually armed during the robbery. It was not immediately clear what property he stole from the restaurant.
