Mark Strehl Blog: Weather warms as we head into the weekend

A new record for the city of Chicago early this morning as we hang around 3 to 4 degrees early, but just for a very brief few minutes dive down to ZERO! That breaks the old record set in 1960 when we went down to two degrees. The chances of going to zero or lower this time of year are "statistically" less than half of a percentage point on any given date!

But the good news is that we will continue to warm as we head into the weekend. First, to the low 40's for Saturday and Sunday. And then pushing into the upper 40s and low 50s as we head through the rest of next week! Early indications present mild temps for the next couple of weeks at the very least!

Enjoy your weekend and be safe!
