CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - Nearly 2,000 Chicago-area auto mechanics reached a deal with 130 new car dealerships on Sunday, bringing a long strike to a close.
The strike started in early August.
The new contract gives workers a "significant wage increase across the board," the Chicago New Car Dealer Committee said in a press release Sunday.
The mechanics will return to work on Monday, Sept. 18.
