Police officer Tasers dog after it bites person on South Side

CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago Police officers used a Taser on a dog that bit someone Monday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers were called about a vicious animal in the 0-100 block of East 69th Street at 12:40 p.m., according to police.

One person reported being bitten by the dog, police said. Officers arrived at the scene and used a Taser to subdue the animal.

The person who was bitten declined medical attention.

Chicago Animal Care and Control was called to recover the dog, police said. Its condition was not immediately available.
