Stolen Kia crashes into Chicago police squad car in North Lawndale

CHICAGO - Car thieves crashed a stolen Kia into a Chicago police squad car on Sunday, police said.

CPD said the crash happened in North Lawndale around 2 p.m.

Officers saw the 2019 Kia Sorento on Central Park. It crashed into the squad car on West 13th Place.

No police officers were injured.

Three suspects from the car were taken to the hospital for evaluation and taken into custody.
