Bloomingdale Trail to extend eastward

CHICAGO - It's about to get a whole lot easier for those on the Bloomingdale Trail to get to the Chicago River.

City officials say The 606 is being extended to the east.

The trail will soon extend over Ashland Avenue eventually connecting to the river.

The project is in its first phase and isn't expected to be complete until 2026.
