Undercover agent to testify in Chicago terrorism sentencing

CHICAGO (AP) - A sentencing hearing in a Chicago terrorism case is resuming with an undercover agent testifying with his identity hidden because prosecutors say he will be in danger if his face is revealed.
The judge overseeing sentencing for Adel Daoud said she would prefer if the agent wore a wig and dark glasses or another disguise when he takes the stand Tuesday. But she says she'll reluctantly close her courtroom to the media and public if that isn't possible.
Audio of the agent's testimony will be made available for reporters and the public in another courtroom.
The agent posed as an Islamic militant in a 2012 FBI sting that led to Daoud's arrest after he tried to detonate what he believed to be a bomb at a downtown Chicago bar.
