Water main work to close part of Clybourn in Lincoln Park
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Emergency work to water mains will close part of North Clybourn Avenue during the day Monday in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday, Clybourn will be closed to traffic between Southport and Racine, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.
A detour will direct northbound drivers west on North Avenue, north on Ashland and back to Clybourn. Southbound drivers will turn from Clybourn to Ashland and back to Clybourn.
Bicyclists traveling north on Clybourn will be detoured to Racine, Webster and back. Southbound riders will use Kingsbury to Courtland and back to Clybourn, the statement said.
Currently, Clybourn traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction.
