WWII vet gets HS diploma 73 years after dropping out to serve

FOX NEWS - A World War II veteran from Wisconsin showed that it's never too late to get your high school diploma.
90-year-old Don Meneau said that he felt a need to serve his country during the war rather than stick around to complete high school.
He signed up for the Army in 1943 and served in France and Germany as a member of the 326th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 13th and 82nd Airborne Divisions. When he came home, he focused on working and providing for his new family.
Don said that not having his diploma was never a problem for him; he got a machinist apprenticeship took college-level electrician courses, and eventually became electric distribution superintendent for the city of Two Rivers for nearly 30 years. But getting that diploma was something he always wanted to do.
Two weeks ago, Don's son Mike called the principal of Two Rivers High School to see if getting the diploma for his father could be arranged.
