A 13-year-old was battered and robbed in suburban Tinley Park Friday night, according to police. 

A potential agreement to sell the 280-acre plot of land, currently housing the remains of the former Tinley Park Mental Health Center site has been reached between the state and the village.

A Kentucky man was arrested Thursday after police said he stole a Jeep from a car dealership that was later involved in a crash and foot pursuit in Tinley Park.

It has been 14 years since the mass murder in south suburban Tinley Park at the now former Lane Bryant retail store. The killer has yet to be found.

A 26-year-old woman who was reported missing from Tinley Park has been safely located.

"The main thing Is that we are concerned about our children... having kids growing up in a world where basically they are seeing segregation. One group of people allowed in places and another group not being allowed. And we think that could have damaging psychological consequences," said a woman who did not give her name.

The mayor says he won't use town resources to promote a policy that will hurt the economy.

“This incident shows how important it is for parents to be aware of their children’s online activity,” Burbank police said.

The horses were found in the man's barn underweight, with no food and a frozen water supply.

A video made by a student or students at Tinley Park High School appears to show students teachers and the principal holding and pointing cell phones like guns. The video was also posted to Facebook, with some calling it "hilarious" while others said it was “disgusting" and “real stupid.” The school says the staff was misled.
