Man randomly stabbed stranger's dog after asking to pet it, Evanston police say

EVANSTON, Illinois (Fox 32 News) - Police in Evanston are looking for a man who randomly attacked a stranger's dog.
Police said that on Nov. 23, around noon, a couple was walking their dog on Church Street. The suspect approached and asked to pet the dog.
When he did, he pulled out a knife and stabbed the dog in the leg. The dog is recovering.
Evanston Police described the suspect as African-American, approximately 40- to 50-years-old, 6 feet tall, 180-190 pounds, with a salt and pepper beard.
