Woman rescued from pond, arrested on theft warrant

INDIANAPOLIS (FOX 32 Chicago) - A woman in Indianapolis made it easy for police to arrest her -- she crashed her car into an icy pond and waited for rescuers.

Jessica Foster, 33, was wanted on a warrant for theft in Hancock County, Indiana.

Police and firefighters found her on top of her SUV in a retention pond on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters stretched a fire truck aerial ladder over the pond and gently guided her to safety.

Then Indianapolis Police took her into custody.
