A Chicago man was charged with driving under the influence and reckless homicide in a crash on Interstate 57 that left two people dead Sunday near Dixmoor.

Traffic is being diverted at 159th Street after a fatal crash on northbound I-57 early Tuesday morning. State Police say two people were killed and another was injured. A heavily damaged SUV was cleared from the scene at about 7 a.m. Delays continue.

Two water main breaks were reported in Dixmoor Friday night. This was the first time since early February that the village had a water main break. There were 14 reported in January.

It was a Christmastime tragedy for a suburban family when a Glenwood woman went missing on the way to visit her daughter.
