A Bradley officer is finally going home after being shot in the line of duty in December of last year. 

A 23-year-old Kankakee man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly supplying the gun used to kill a Bradley police sergeant last year as she pleaded for her life.

Bradley Police Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic was fatally shot last year in the line of duty. Two people have been charged with her murder. Another man, Xavier Harris, 22, was arrested Wednesday for obstructing justice and concealing or aiding a fugitive in connection to the killing.

Darius Sullivan's attorney filed a motion to withdraw without giving an explanation during a hearing Friday.

The Bradley community and officers from all over the state came out in full force Saturday for two officers shot last month.

Friday was an emotional day in Kankakee County as the community said farewell to a Bradley police sergeant killed in the line of duty last week.

The two suspects in connection to the killing of a Bradley police sergeant and critical wounding of another officer were both denied bail Wednesday, as authorities seek "the fullest consequences possible," Kankakee State's Attorney Jim Rowe said in an afternoon press conference.

A Bradley police sergeant was pleading for her life just moments before she was fatally shot with her own service weapon by a gunman in a hotel last week, prosecutors said.

In a statement on Facebook, Bradley police said: “There have been several Go Fund Me fundraisers posted by supposed family members of Sgt Marlene Rittmanic. NONE of these are legit."

After an exhaustive search lasting nearly 36 hours and spanning two states, the suspects wanted in connection to a shooting that left one Bradley police sergeant dead and another officer critically wounded are behind bars.
