Snow hits Chicago area, with up to 2 inches expected

Snow was falling across the Chicago area Sunday. As much as two inches might be left on the city and suburbs and possibly three inches across northwestern Illinois.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for a majority of Chicago-area counties until 2 p.m. Sunday. The city will see a light dusting, potentially up to an inch of snow, while some northern suburbs will see as much as 3 inches.
