FOX 32 NEWS - On November 21st, 2015, I was shoveling snow, building a snowman and fighting a fierce snowball war with my then 6-year-old.

If you were anywhere in the greater Chicago area, then snow was at the center of your life. In fact, the biggest snow storm of the 2015-2016 Winter was upon us.

The snow began falling Friday evening, November 20th and ended Saturday afternoon, the 21st. It provided a shock to many of my friends and neighbors because just a few days earlier, we were enjoying mild weather with highs in the 60s.

This was our first snow of the 2015-2016 Season and it left a 300-mile-wide path across the Midwest.

This remarkable storm was also the 2nd largest snowfall on record for Chicago in the month of November. Officially, Chicago received 11.2 inches at O'Hare International Airport. Over 16 inches fell in the northern suburbs and 5.8 inches fell at Midway Airport.
