Everyone has an opinion on Rahm Emanuel's polarizing decision to name Eddie Johnson his clear favorite for the permanent position of Chicago's top cop.

Ald. Roderick Sawyer, who also serves as the chairman of the City Council Black Caucus, visits the Good Day Chicago set to give his opinion on the new appointment and what it means for the city going forward.

Johnson, a 27-year CPD veteran, will succeed John Escalante in the interim post while the Police Board will continue searching for new candidates for the role.
