At about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nixon allegedly carjacked a male victim in the 2500 block of South State Street.

A grandfather and grandson died over the weekend in a domestic disturbance that involved Will County sheriff’s deputies shooting the grandson several times.

SUSPECT QUESTIONED: A suspect is being questioned in connection to the Joliet Halloween shooting that left two people dead and several others injured.

Some of the items included laptop computers, fitness tracking devices and digital cameras that were stolen from railcars near Chicago last year, the complaint said.

A Joliet teen, diagnosed with a rare kidney condition, was given a special treat Wednesday.  

His family says if he was treated properly by New Lenox police and Silver Cross Hospital staff, Qusai would've never wandered into traffic and been hit by a car.

There is heartbreak for a Joliet mother whose daughter was killed in a mass shooting at a Halloween party over the weekend.

"We love her very much," Holly's mother said. "I don’t know how to go on without her."

"This could’ve been avoided."

Over a dozen people were wounded and two people were killed after two gunman opened fire at a Halloween party in Joliet Township.

In Chicago's suburbs, all trick-or-treating is happening on Halloween this year, thanks to October 31st being a Sunday. Some locations are inviting children to go out as early as 1 p.m., and one city is allowing them to stay out until 8 p.m.
