Showers and storms will certainly be around today: Some activity this morning which would not be severe and more activity from about 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. that could be stronger.

They biggest threat of severe weather for Chicago will be on Wednesday this week. The middle of the country will see severe weather outbreaks both today and tomorrow.

Look for sunshine this morning yielding to more clouds this afternoon but not enough to prevent a nice run-up in temperatures.

The warmest day of this week could also be the wildest in Chicago. Strong to severe storms are a possibility both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today will feature some sun and we’ve already had our high for the day. Afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 50s

70 degrees, severe storms and even a few flakes of snow are all possible for Chicago during the coming week.
