Old Town

High winds tore through the city on Tuesday, downing trees and damaging buildings across several Chicago neighborhoods.

Two more suspects have now been arrested in connection to a SWAT standoff that occurred at a high-rise in Old Town last month.

The criminals get the cars by targeting drivers who have left their cars running on the street or at gas stations. The cars are then used to commit armed robberies and more carjackings. The next victims are targeted while at ATMs at banks and drive-thrus.

Two men are facing gun charges in connection with a SWAT incident that locked down an Old Town apartment building for more than five hours Tuesday night.

It was a much quieter scene Wednesday night in Old Town, but residents are still on edge.

Four suspects fled to the complex and troopers recovered the vehicle and located two AK-style rifles inside.

A boy was found walking by themselves without a shirt on Monday night in the Old Town neighborhood on Chicago's Near North Side.

Police said the suspects approach victims, threaten them with guns, and then take their wallets, coats and cellphones. Then they take off in a gray Honda SUV and try to use the stolen credit cards and ATM cards.

A man was charged with stabbing another Red Line passenger Thursday morning near the North/Clybourn station.

Video has been released of an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead in Old Town last month.
