However, because of a permitting issue, owners had to take it down to many peoples' disappointment.

Chicago school seeking donations to help 65 students from Ukraine

St. Nicholas in Ukrainian Village has grown from a neighborhood Catholic elementary school to a community and social service hub since the war in Ukraine broke out. The school started out with eight students from Ukraine in mid-March to now beginning this year's school year with about 65 recently arrived students from the war-torn country. St. Nicholas is holding a back-to-school donation drive to collect supplies, gift cards and money for help with tuition. St. Nicholas Cathedral School principal Anna Cirilli talks about it.
