Melodie Gliniewicz, widow of disgraced Fox Lake police lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz, was sentenced Tuesday to 24 months probation.

The widow of a disgraced Fox Lake Lieutenant entered a guilty plea to one count of deceptive practices in court. 

The Gliniewicz case riveted the Chicago area for weeks back in 2015. It started when Lt. Gliniewicz was found fatally shot; his last radio transmission blamed two men and a manhunt was launched. Then, it was revealed that he had shot himself because he was under investigation for embezzling from the Fox Lake Police Explorer program.
