A cold, foggy start leads to afternoon showers, followed by a cool weekend with additional frost chances.

Cool, showery conditions continue through the week with frost possible at night,

We have a shot at seeing a few showers traverse through the area overnight tonight. 

Tens of thousands are still without power after storms blew through the Chicago area and northwest Indiana on Monday.

Chicago’s April just cracked the top 10 wettest on record, and more rain could still fall. Plus, cooler air is on the way, with frost possible in parts of the area this weekend.

Storms moved through the Chicago area Monday night, bringing the threat of severe weather along with powerful wind gusts that could cause damage even outside of thunderstorms.

The storm prediction center has lowered its threat assessment for Chicagoland from level three to level two. 

This morning started very much like yesterday with low-hanging clouds and foggy conditions which will give way to seasonal temperatures.
