Friday marks Chicago's 17th straight day of above-normal temps

Highs today will be in the mid 30s with lake-effect snow developing in northwest Indiana where an inch could accumulate mainly on grassy on non-paved surfaces. This will be the 17th day in a row with above-normal temps.

Storm-ravaged California scrambled to clean up and repair widespread damage on Wednesday as the lashing rain eased in many areas, although thunderstorms led a new atmospheric river into the northern half of the state.

Cloudy skies and mild temps settle in across Chicago today

Skies will be mostly cloudy today and that should hold temps back a couple of degrees from Tuesday’s lofty 50 degrees. Upper 40s though is way above normal.
