Contributing to the delinquency of a minor is a misdemeanor punishable by up to nine months in jail, but Binger reduced the charge to a non-criminal county ordinance violation. Under the deal, Black will pay a $2,000 fine. Each felony count would have been punishable by up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

A New Year's Day snowstorm is bringing snow to parts of Chicago that have not seen much since so far this winter.

A shooting that killed one and seriously injured two others happened just before 4 a.m. in Kenosha, Wisconsin, according to Police. 

Police say Tavares Reed got into an argument with the victim at a bar in Kenosha, tracked him down to his home hours later, and opened fire from outside.

A 22-year-old Kenosha man was found dead in a home in North Chicago Sunday morning, according to police. 

Demonstrators traced the route Kyle Rittenhouse took the night in August last year when he shot and killed two people and wounded a third during protests over police brutality. They carried signs that said "Reject Racist Vigilante Terror" and "THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS GUILTY!" A couple of protesters carried long guns.

On Saturday, hundreds of people marched through downtown Chicago in a noisy but peaceful demonstration against the acquittal. The march was organized by a number of social justice groups, including Black Lives Matter. 

Small crowds of protesters on both sides of the Kyle Rittenhouse case have stayed vigilant outside the Kenosha County Courthouse.

“We're out here to stand by the families to make sure they get justice. Being little Jake's Uncle shot seven times in the back by a Kenosha police officer, in front of his three children — we know what injustice feels like and we don't want these two families to go through that,” Blake's uncle said.

K9 Riggs tackled the murder suspect and knocked him to the ground, then the murder suspect shot the dog in the head.
