Two women were robbed and shot in Chicago's West Loop early Saturday morning.

There's a crackdown on teen takeovers in Washington D.C. Today, the U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro announced that her office will be prosecuting parents if their children are participating in takeovers. It's something some alders also want to do, and I asked Mayor Brandon Johnson about it too.

 This afternoon a Cook County judge ruled that the Ford City mall must close its doors for good this summer.

Staff at a west suburban preschool sprang into action after discovering 11 ducklings trapped inside a storm drain during pickup time. Preschool director Lisa Plassmann says a distressed mother duck appeared to lead staff to the drain, where teachers worked together to safely rescue the ducklings and reunite them with their mom.

It’s the middle of the night, there’s a break-in, a drone buzzing overhead, and a U-Haul waiting to be loaded up with stolen goods.  The Cook County Sheriff's Office told us deputies stopped a railcar theft in progress. Tia Ewing shows you how they used new technology to get it done.
