Police said the victim, 28, got into an argument with someone at the gas station. The other person pulled a gun out of a fanny pack and shot the victim multiple times in the chest, forearm and finger.

A 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were in the street when they were shot by an unknown offender, police said.

This coming weekend, eight local photographers are having their work featured in an exhibit in the Pullman neighborhood.

At about 10:59 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a call for shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a 45-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said.

"We turned those slaves loose. Those slaves had absolutely nothing," said James Meeks, Salem Baptist Church pastor. "Then, America turned around and we paid the former slave owners for the slaves that they lost … instead [of] the people who were slaves and that subsidized America with 350 years of [free] labor — [they] got nothing."

A driver died in a single-car rollover crash that started on Interstate 94 early Tuesday near Pullman on Chicago's South Side.

The families whose debt has been erased don't know yet. “When that mail comes to their homes – can you imagine? I wish we could see all of their faces. I would literally go with Rabbi Hart to 2,000 homes just to see their faces,” Pastor Harris said.

Antoine Dobine was out walking along 119th and Eggleston when he heard screams coming from a home. "As I get closer: 'Help!' Bam, bam bam! I said, 'Who is that?' 'Help!' That's when I called police," Dobine explained.

The last time the brothers saw the rail car was in 1981. It was a reunion of sorts between a rail car and two brothers who helped make it.

Human remains were discovered by workers in Chicago's Pullman neighborhood.
