Thunderstorms heading for Chicago and suburbs Monday afternoon and evening

Some of the storms could bring damaging winds and large hail. The National Weather Service said the severe risk exists across the Chicago area, but the most likely spots for the worst storms are south of I-88 in areas including Aurora, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Oak Lawn, Hammond and the south side of Chicago.

In one video just two days before the shooting rampage, he held a gun to the camera and muttered, "no music, no music, I don't need no seatbelt, I'm coming, girl."

Woman charged with burglary, looting

A 28-year-old woman from the Near South Side has been charged with burglary and looting after she was identified as an individual who burglarized a business in August.

Two men were shot Saturday in Chicago's West Woodlawn neighborhood, added two more people to the list of more than 3,000 shot and wounded in the city so far this year.

Man blows red light and crashes into Chicago police car

A 27-year-old man blew a red light and crashed into a Chicago police car on Saturday night on the South Side, police say. The officers were not injured. The 27-year-old was hospitalized in good condition, and cited for disobeying a stop light and driving without insurance.
